Vaya… debéis ser unos incautos o estáis demasiado seguros de vuestra suerte. Este tesoro está bien guardado y demasiados han desaparecido al buscarlo. Hay cosas con las que es mejor no jugar, y las gemas que os obsesionan están protegidas por secretos olvidados desde hace muchos, muchos años…
¿Que si conozco yo su secreto?
Sois osados en verdad, he de reconocerlo. ¡Yo recuerdo secretos con los que ni siquiera soñáis! Aunque nadie sabe ya quien fui, yo también era un osado explorador cuando era más joven, como vosotros. Sí, ya lo creo…
¿Sabéis? ¡Os voy a mostrar la puerta que abre el camino hacia las joyas! Vuestro valor me agrada, pero tendrá que ser vuestro tesón el que os permita franquear el camino. Yo las tuve ante mi vista, muchos años atrás, y casi enloquecí al ver tal cantidad de riquezas junta. Pero hube de huir, acosado por infinidad de rivales que ansiaban también sus secretos, y apenas tuve tiempo para ocultarlas de nuevo. Conseguí escapar y salvar la vida, pero mi mente ahora es más débil, y no recuerdo el modo de emplear los cristales…
Los cristales… ¿Que de qué cristales hablo? ¡Oh, no me interrumpáis! ¿De veras no os he hablado de los cristales del arco iris? No sé si merecéis verlos, quizá algún día regrese a reclamar lo que es mío.
¡Oh, demonios! Os los mostraré. Soy viejo y no tendría fuerzas para hacerme con el tesoro, ni vigor para disfrutarlo. Mirad bien los cristales del arco iris...
Son hermosos, ¿verdad? ¡No, éstas no son las auténticas joyas! Se nota que nunca has tenido un tesoro ante tu vista ¿no será éste el primero que buscas? Diablos, es lo mismo…
En realidad, los cristales son un camino, la puerta que lleva al auténtico tesoro. Pero para que os sirvan bien, debéis demostrar que sois dignos de manejarlos. Colocadlos así, mirad… uno de ellos en medio de todos los demás, como yo los he puesto, y el resto a su alrededor, de manera que las facetas que coincidan tengan el mismo color…
No es sencillo, ¿verdad? ¡Por supuesto! Si lo fuera, hace mucho que hubiera reclamado las joyas para mí. En fin, quedaos con los cristales… yo ya soy demasiado mayor para salir, de nuevo, a saquear las riquezas ajenas; y a nadie hará bien que las guarde hasta la tumba.
¡Ah, lo olvidaba! Cuando hayáis colocado los cristales en su disposición correcta, el que se encuentre en la posición central os mostrará el camino. Y si encontráis aquello que deseáis, acordaos de volver y contadle a este anciano vuestras aventuras…
