This is one of 2 caches placed by the 2008/2009 4th grade class at Old Mission Elementary. All fourth grade students in Michigan study Michigan History as part of their Social Studies curriculum and learning about latitude & longitude is part of the course. Geocaching is a great way to help students relate to these concepts! Each year, after studying about lat/long, the 4th graders will have fun with geocaching and then will be responsible for maintaining their caches for others to enjoy! They will also enjoy reading the log to see who has visited the cache.
