Geocache Description:

A cache in the wooded portion of Almonte's Gemmill Park, a short distance off an established trail.

In October of 2007 my son and grandson (The Seamans), aided and abetted by other family members, planted a cache a short distance from my home, and suggested that I go find it sometime. The cache was GC16GCJ - Almonte's First .... In A While. Shortly after, I got out my ancient Garmin and did find it, and in the process got hooked on Geocaching. In the year that has passed since that first find, I have learned a lot, got better equipped, and have logged 400 finds.

It now seems appropriate to plant a cache of my own in Almonte, and what better name for it than "Almonte's Second ..... In A While".

The cache is a one kilogram camo'd peanut jar, and will be found in the woods a short distance off an established trail. No heavy duty bush whacking required.

The initial contents included the usual log book and swag plus a new travel bug and a FTF prize.

Note that the cache has been relocated to a new and more winter friendly site a short distance from the original site. Be sure that you are using the new coordinates before searching for the cache. See posting Jan 6 & 7/2009 for more details.

Further note: The cache has had to be moved one more time - see posting for Oct 1, 2015. Still the same container and with the original logbook, and still winter friendly. Note the new coordinates.
