Chocolate Sleepover Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

KCJL: There have been a series of DNFs and I am not in a position to visit the location myself in the next 2 months. I will check it out when I am next available and remove the container if it does exist which I doubt.

Geocache Description:

A steep climb up to Cadbury camp.

The name of this cache was inspired by the children and is a play on words for Cadbury Camp. Rest assured that there is no chocolate inside the cache but feel free to bring your own chocolate snack to enjoy!

It’s a reasonably steep climb from either the Counting Cars Cache or the recommended parking spot. You are, however rewarded with beautiful views towards Wales in one direction and the Mendips in the other direction within 50yards or so from the cache site.

Cadbury Camp itself is the remains of an Iron Age Fort and is now owned by the National Trust. The cache is laid outside of the perimeter fence, but there is stile access at several points along the bridal path to enter the site. Information boards are dotted around the site providing much more detail on the history of the land.

Suggested parking is: N 51° 27.229 W 002° 47.349 along Clevedon Lane. If you are heading directly to this cache, then walk along Clevedon Lane towards Clevedon for about 100yrds and then take the Bridal / Footpath up and under the motorway bridge. From Counting Cars, continue up the footpath to join the Cadbury Camp Lane bridal path at the top.

Happy Hunting.
