Robin Hill Farm is a Clallam County Park, and consists of 195 acres, with 150 acres in forest management, 20 acres of open space grass fields, 5 acres of wetlands, and the remaining 20 acres used for agriculture farming and gardening.
There are approximately 3.39 miles of foot trails, 3.3 miles of equestrian trails, and a short section of the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) that meanders along the north property line off Pinnell Road. All trails are open to foot and mountain bike travel, some are open to horses as well. Yield to the horses on the equestrian trails, please.
If you have not previously encountered horses on a trail, remember to start talking to them as soon as you see them, so they know you are people!
The park is open daylight hours only, 8 am to dusk. The cache is located approximately 6' away from one of the trails so no bushwhacking is required. There are occasionally park maps of the trails located at either of the parking lots.
There are some nice little items in this kid-friendly cache, so please keep the junk out... I have now had to go back again to clean the crap out. You are looking for a large Lock & Lock. As with my other caches, I request that if you take something, you leave something nice. My goal is to eliminate a cache full of gum wrappers, dental floss, pieces of papers and garbage. Have fun and enjoy the area.
How to get there: From the south, turn north from Highway 101 onto Dryke Road (near milepost 259.) The parking lot is 1/4 mile ahead on the right. From the north on the Old Olympic highway, turn south onto Vautier Road (approximately 1/2 mile west of Kitchen-Dick Road.) Vautier turns west onto Pinnell Road, and the parking lot is on the left.
