Geocache Description:

Monkeyaid:

During the period of July 1999 to August 2008, Danny and Mike lived in (and thoroughly explored) Norwich and surrounding area – and in this time a number of interesting, beautiful or tranquil places were discovered.. often now being recalled for associations with specific events in their lives.

The Monkeyaid set of caches has been created as a little memento of those times – as both Danny and Mike now live elsewhere in the country (although still visiting Norwich regularly).

The Monkeyaid set of caches are mostly small (room for a couple of small items) but includes one larger cache “Monkeyaid: The Scrapyard” – the precise coordinates of which can be obtained by piecing together the clues contained within some of the smaller caches.

Who knows.. there may be a clue here...

The S.A.B.:

This spot is just outside a large fenced compound that - to the casual glance - contains just a radio mast and two small buildings.. but is actually just the nicely landscaped surface of a subterranean bunker! Here's a link to some information on what this bunker - and others around the country - were used for (click ROTOR link on page).

This cache commemorates the good old days of visits to The S.A.B....

Note on approach:

There is no need to be anywhere near the roundabout or the traffic - if arriving by car, it's worth going around the roundabout so you can see where it is that you need to come off.. if you were coming over the bridge from Bawburgh then it's first exit - a very small service exit that brings you almost immediately to a stop, so watch your speed.

Once out of your car, walk down the track to the metal gate at the bottom of the gentle slope, turn around to face back up the track. Now walk to the third post along the fence (excluding corner) and face the trees opposite - enter straight ahead and navigate your way to about the middle - you may need to duck if you're fairly tall. At the foot of one tree is the cache. Again - you don't need to go near the road.

When leaving:

Please ensure that the cache is fully covered - preferably as you found it (see hint if unsure).
