A multi-stage cache where you go LadyBug hunting !
Co-ordinates at top of page are *NOT* the real co-ordinates, just an indication of the area where you will be hunting...
This is one of around 13 caches placed today but luckily for some I plan to stagger their "release" so there is not a mad dash for FTF's by a single geocacher. Keep a look out this week for other caches being enabled in the "Pedal Power" series.
First you need to find "Pedal Power 25 - LadyBug micro" which contains the co-ordinates for the start of the LadyBug hunt.
Note: You do not need to dismantle any Lady Bugs to find further stages of this multi-cache.
**Update** - unfortunately two of the giant LadyBugs are gone, one was known to have been eaten by a muggler's dog! Now a new ladybug has appeared at one location and orange (covered black) micros at the other two locations.
Lady Bugs is the common name in USA, of course in Europe we prefer to call then Lady Birds or Lady Beetles. There official family name is "Coccinellids", try saying that after a couple of drinks!
Such beautiful little creatures which still fascinate children today... who remembers this nursery rhyme:
"Ladybird, ladybird, fly away home
Your house is on fire and your children are gone
All except one, and that's Little Anne
For she has crept under the warming pan."
There are many references to Lady Birds in modern society, for example it is a symbol of the "Dutch Foundation Against Senseless Violence".
