Geocache Description:

The Clueless series is a 1.25 mile walk around one of the best kept secrets in the heart of the national forest. All caches are accessed off the well defined gravel path. There are caches which are off these paths and as a result give the walk a 2.5 rating. It is not wheelchair friendly but the youngest of kids will have no problems with it. Pushchairs will have to be a bit off road capable to do this one. The development of this former clay quarry for Swadlincotes pottery industry was recently carried out at a cost of £1000,000. The site was originally earmarked for a non-powered watersports centre but this plan was scrapped. Most of the cost of the development was due to the extensive drainage ducts that had to be put in to accommodate the run off water during heavy rainfall. The paths are now well surfaced and was begging for a short circular walk. There is a waterfowl breeding programme in place here so please take all litter home with you. You could even carry an extra empty bag to pick up any litter you see lying about. There is a litter bin located near cache 6. The cache containers are deliberately not listed so as to make it harder!!!! Enjoy
