I thought I would try something different or old school as the case may be. We have been by here while caching so may times I have lost count. This is just a simple hide of a regular size container with the usual toys. Not a nano, micro or even a small. It is hidden in an area I think is worth bringing cachers back to. I hid this regular size cache close to an area with plenty of muggle traffic. If swarms of cachers went after this, muggles would surely see them, and the area would become worn and unable to hide a regular sized cache so I made this a puzzle. I hiked in on path just past the PA veterinary clinic to the posted coords about a tenth of a mile past the last cache and was surprised by what I found. If you go there you won't find this cache, but this is what you will find.




Thinking about the nearby Ceara Cache! and finding these unexpected palms I knew I was in a place Big Checker would like. I thought about a Kid Cache, brought to you by the number 7, kid stories, and was reminded of a line one ate A Fig. Quickly I realized I was confusing Figs with Dates and that these aren't even date palms. I felt rather silly and wondering why 7 is lucky, I knew I needed to get out of the summer sun. The cache is a large, at least a gallon, plastic jar covered with camo tape. When placed, it was just standing there within a thicket, not buried or covered by sticks or rocks. I placed it standing upright to keep water out and hope cachers attempt to keep it standing or I may need to replace it with something that would likely be even harder to spot. Although it is only a couple yards from where muggles may be, it is hidden even tougher than I had expected. This probably could have been a large bucket, so we will see how the area fairs before I attempt an upgrade. My Garmin 60CSx takes me right to the spot, and the cache is very obvious when you are close to ground zero. This is a kid cache and contents are the usual toys with a pen and pencil for you to sign with. Aside from the thicket this is in, the terrain is easy and in the old days would be a 1 star, but I wouldn't recommend it for a wheelchair.
