How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

You must access this cache from Skyline Ranch Road (a dirt road marked with a wooden post) off of Pioneertown Road. It is just past the Pioneertown sign. (See photos)
Drive straight back until a gate forces you to continue to the left. A 2WD Honda Civic or the like should be able to drive within a 1/2 mile of the cache, 4x4s much closer. A short trail starts at the end of the road... it will take you where you need to be!

The container is a large, camo-colored coffee can containing contents of a Western theme. (Horseshoe, Roy Rogers picture, Arizona envelope, hay cube, etc.)
We would like to keep the Western/Cowboy theme going, so please leave or trade only items of this nature.
Of course, trackables are always welcome.

There is a great view from the cache spot... especially at sunset!

As always in the desert, mostly during the summer months, watch out for desert critters and cacti!
