Gömman ligger inte långt från vägen.
En av västsveriges mera kända hällkistor ligger i Skottene. Hällkistor uppfördes under yngre stenåldern (1800 – 1500 f.kr). Taket har rasat in, men hällkistan ger ändå ett mäktigt intryck.
Ett gravfält med stensättningar omger hällkistan. Det mesta är dock överväxt med mossa.
[English:] This cache is not far from the road. Near the cache is one of the most famous stone cists of Western Sweden, dated 1800-1500 BC. The ceiling has collapsed, but the cist still makes a powerful impression.
A burial ground from the same period surrounds the stone cist. Most of the graves are overgrown with moss.
