Small cache inside wall ruines of the Tsar Asen's Fortress. Reveals great view to the valley and nearby mountain hills.

The fortress is situated in Rodopi mountain, 2 kilometers away from Asenovgrad, both names connected to bulgarian king Ivan Asen II. Today there is only a church and wall ruins left, but the place is magnificent and really nice to see.
You can reach the fortress by car or walking from Assenovgrad, you need to find the exit toward Bachkovo and turn right on the small road wich is actually walking zone and you will see many other people during weekends. You will find drinking water, WC and few parking places, if you are lucky a tourist guide also.
There are few things to see - walk inside the church, climb on top of the fortress and see old Asen's rock inscription. The view is very nice, also during nights when you can see the lights of the city.
After you park or reach the tourists guide building be careful of the slippery rocks on the path, go to the church and start climbing toward the top. You will see sigh, pointing left to the inscription. Follow it few meters and then start inspecting the walls beside you.
