Raddad637: It's sad to see my very first cache is gone. It looks like the floods did get the best of it, the whole darn thing! I don't care to replace it. We probably shouldn't trample the wetlands.

Geocache Description:

Located just off a pleasant loop trail in Jewell Wetlands Open Space. You should be able to remain quite dry.

Park at South end of the open space on Jewell Ave. at the lot with the porta-potty. Listen to the crackling high voltage wires overhead. You'll be going for a nice stroll looking for an apple sized, camoed, round container on the ground (Fallen Fruit) a short way off the loop trail. There are a couple other caches on the loop also. Bag three here.

Relatively heavy tree cover gave me only 20 foot GPS accuracy when I placed the fruit. Some may get better readings. If you find the coords off with a high sensitivity GPS please let me know. I added a hint.

Please replace the Fruit upside down to hide the white label on the lid and don't cover it totally.

9-17-11 I thought about this cache today and I see that I didn't mention that this was the first cache I ever placed. It's done well and has needed only one minor maintenance visit. I've come a long way since then and have placed 662 more since this one. Happy Caching.
