Geocache Description:

Sibden Hill is on the west side of Shanklin and can be reached by footpaths from Carter Avenue and from Chatsworth Avenue. It is linked by a footpath to Batts Copse. Footpaths SS14 and SS99 cross Sibden Hill and footpaths SS15 and SS90 lead to Batts Copse. There is some free on-street parking nearby. Bus number 22 goes to Sibden Hill.

Fairly easy going, with a small but steep hill and some rough terrain - cache itself is in long vegetation so you will need to forage in the undergrowth a bit - please respect trhe nature reserve and put back carefully though!

This cache can be approached from a number of different ways, but all give a chance to explore this little hilltop nature reserve in a suburban setting. Great views across Shanklin and to Culver cliff beyond. Also very good for bluebells in the spring.

Part of the Isle of Wight Geocaching Project from Pinkeye Graphics.

This cache has been lost several times to muggles so please replace very carefully, and hide well. Thanks!
