A short multicache based on Katherine Mansfield
Two waypoints to visit to work out the co-ordinates to the final. If traveling by car parking may be a problem during business, and in particular, school hours. Recommended to park in Hobson Street or Fitzherbert Terrace if you can as both way points and final are within easy walking distance. At WP1 S41deg 16.200 E174deg 46.783 A = The first digit of the Historic Building number B = Number of letters in third word on blue sign. C = Sum of all the digits of the Historic Building number. At WP2 S41deg 16.317 E174deg 46.733 D = Number of letters in the Mayor’s first name. E = “..?.. by Sir Harold Beachamp”, number of letters in that word. F = Last digit of the year the ceremony took place. The final, and physical, cache is located at S 41deg 16.ABC E 174deg 46.DEF Some discretion will be required at WP2. Although located in a public park you are in view of the security guards of a prominent embassy. This should not be a problem but might pay to keep the GPSr etc generally out of sight and take a seat behind the brick walls to do your calculations. Late night visits are not recommended. Muggles may be a problem at the final especially at lunchtimes. The cache is not hidden in any flower bed, bush, tree, or any other vegetation, please do not disturb any such areas.
