Figured it was time we all got together.. especially with gas prices being what they are... we tend to be staying close a bit more... This is a get-together for Central Florida cachers... to put faces to log-in names and share enthusiasm for the sport.
This function is being held in the Fellowship Hall of the Eastide Baptist Church at 2PM (this is a Sunday). The pastor and his family are avid geocachers and have graciously allowed us the use of the building. ALL GEOCACHERS ARE WELCOME (whether from Central Florida or elsewhere)... very experienced, newbies, AS WELL AS wannabies and the curious... come catch the "fever" for the journey and finds...
There will be a short PowerPoint presentation for newbies and wannabies, as well as handouts with an assortment of info and websites of interest for all in attendance.
Seasoned or experienced cachers are encouraged to bring friends they would like to expose to the sport...
Refreshments will be served, ample parking, handicap accessible, and there is a cache on the property (same coordinates)... it is GC144ZW.
Bring your "stuff" for show-and-tell...
Bring TBs you'd like to send out into the world too!
There will be a table set up with examples of cache containers... if you have some that are unique you'd like to share, by all means bring them to display.
There will be another table with clean, empty containers for making caches... (we've been collecting)... these are for anyone who would like them.
I'm sure I've forgotten something so keep checking back for additional updates! (If you have any suggestions, please email me.) Hope to see a lot of you ... particularly those who were in attendance at the Altamonte Springs WWFM on 5/10... what fun we had! (Thanks again to PhotoE for setting that up.)
