The cache is located near a State historical marker which indicates the location of the plantation homes of Joseph and Jefferson Davis. The site of the homes are due west and are inapproachable from the cache site, so it is not recommended you attempt it.
The container is a 7.62 mm ammo can. There are several jeep themed items in the cache because it was originally going to be a jeep-themed cache. I have mixed in other items, including three 'ready to be placed' micro caches which anyone may trade for and hide wherever they desire.
I didn't notice any poisonous plants, which is unusual. I did spot a few thorny plants nearby, but they were not very bad and were not an issue. I placed the cache in shorts and had no problems.
There is a gravel parking area at the cache site, but it does have a good grass covering. I don't think this historical marker gets many visitors. Please consider "cache in, trash out" at the site.
Congratulations to JLEC66 for FTF and claiming the unactivated Vicksburg Civil War Geocoin prize. However, he bragged about taking swag and not trading in. Looks like I'm might have to restock sooner than I thought.
Please rehide the cache as well or better than you find it.
