Cache is a small Lock 'n Lock box. There is parking of a sort at N 56.31.672 W 003.23.955. Muggles generally cling to the bluebell wood beside the road.
There are a lot of BIG beeches along this walk. (Would dearly like to know if you have seen bigger ones in Scotland.) But you are not looking for the biggest, just the one with a view of the memorial cairn.
If tempted to visit the cairn notice there's cows in the field, but a shocking absence of those wee yellow 'Haud on! Sparky wire' signs.
