HOW: Llangennech (2) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Eclectic Penguin: I'm sorry to report that Langennech (2) has gone the same way as its predecessor - it has completely vanished. The stone that covered it was observed a little distance away.

I'm strongly inclined to archive this location as it seems to be far more popular with the local youths than I first thought.

Apologies to the owners of the two TBs that were in there when it went missing. [:(]
For the record, the 2 trackables that went missing were DORA the EXPLORER and Germany 2007 Series 1 friederix (which has since re-surfaced!).

Geocache Description:

Part of a series of caches set near stations on the Heart Of Wales railway line. This is a short walk from the station over moderate terrain on the edge of the River Loughgor's flood plain.

This cache replaces another nearby cache which has since been archived. Throw away any ideas that you can approach this cache from the immediate same direction as the last one - despite its proximity to the old one, it is genuinely a different one requiring a different thought process to approach (I've already had a conversation with someone who agrees with me on this). This is the reason I decided to launch it as a new cache rather than replace the old and change its coordinates.

If you're doing this cache by car, this should be a simple cache-and-dash as you can drive relatively close to the cache location (it's almost within visual sight of the station).

Take some mints with you - maybe a friendly marsh pony may amble along for some attention while you're on your way to the cache - there's plenty of evidence on the ground that they've been there even if you don't see them!

Additional: at least one route to the cache location has some broken glass on the ground, washed up by the tide. There's also a tree not too distant from the cache site which appears to have been used by local kids at one point as a repository for bottles and pottery - but the area around the cache itself looks clear of broken glass. Nettles may become an increased problem during summer.
