A nice quick one to welcome visitors to Canada, British Columbia and the town of Creston.
The town of Creston is nestled down in the valley between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain ranges. The area is known as a great agricultural region and there are many seasonal fruit and produce stands to choose from. The town also features some good coffee shops, restaurants and bars, and many niche stores plus a weekend market place.
There's an abundance of recreational activities to be had in the area including boating, hiking, fishing, and of course, geocaching. The Creston and district recreation complex includes an aquatic centre, gymnasium, arena, lounge and more. The local Columbia brewery offers a tour and there's also a local micro brewery to try.
