From the packing coords walk toward the road and pick up the trail on right. Please stay on trail until near the cache.
For a pleasent one mile loop walk after your find, continue ahead on the trail for .3 mile or so, across the road to APT, turn left down the hill, then in driveway back to your car.

We hope you spot a toad or two on your journies. Toads are very much under-appreciated. Of course, toads do not give you warts. They do "pee" on you when they feel threatened. It's not urine, it's a poison that is designed to make you feel really miserable if you happened to pick them up with you mouth. The poison won't hurt your hands at all, just give them a wash before you eat.

Toads have some really cool adaptations. The bones in their arms are connected to their ears somehow. So, they can "hear" vibrations in the ground. Their tongues aren't designed to swallow, just flick out and catch bugs. So when it's time to swallow they will close their eyes and push them down into their head. It's their eyeballs that help push the food down their throat, cool! Just like all amphbians, they have moist gladnular skin than can help them exchange oxegen and carbon dioxide with the air. The male toads sing and use their tympanic membranes (ears) to make their voices louder. So to summarize, toads hear with their arms, breath with their skin, swallow with their eyes and sing with their ears!

If you find a toad, take a look, pick it up carefully if you like, and I hope you look at it in a new positive light before you put it back in a nice shady spot where it can find a slug or cricket and hop away.
