Geocache Description:

Tresillian was once the lowest bridging point on the Tresillian River, and the highest navigable point from the sea. And it's where in 1646 the Royalist and parliamentarian forces signed a cease-fire. The Wheel Inn was the headquarters of the Parliamentary army - the inn has a spoked wheel of straw on its thatched roof. The Civil War in Cornwall lasted from August 1642, until 12 March 1646, when the Royalist army surrendered at Tresillian Bridge near Truro

This cache is located near to what is known locally as "Devils Arch" I've tried to get some information for you about this place without much success. Please let me know if I have it wrong as I'm going by what my mother tried to tell me when I was one of those " What does mum know" type teenagers, and what I've heard otherwise. I'm told that back in the dim and distant past (AKA 1600's ish) it was a place where Highway men use to stop travellers by telling them to "Stand in your dinner " I'm told that Highway men where also hanged there. And guess what. It's supposed to be haunted by a ghost of a woman that can be seen when the moon is full. All scary stuff uh? And it gets better. You can only do this cache at night! But I'd not go on a full moon just in case there's a pale looking muggle hanging around waiting to say BOO to you. Have fun.

I suggest you wear good footwear as your be covering a variety of terrain As I said this cache can only be completed at night. So a good torch with a strong beam is a must, It involves finding some of the way by means of looking for high vis markers (similar to the Mithian by night cache set up by Cornwall search and rescue team.)

The location listed above is for a lay-by from there you will be able to see a single road sign. head for it, it has the first clue. Put everything back as you find it please. as there are a lot of muggles that use this area.
The high vis markers will lead you to a disused tarmac road once on it keep an eye open off to both side as you will need to turn off it at some point.
The second clue tells you to look for a large object.
You will need to stand next to this large object and look back the way you came to see what your looking for.
