The Marathon Man: After a 6 year run and the bench it was on is gone - it is time to move on, archive the cache and free up the area for another cache

I have many fun memories of the original location of this on the caboose, especially the WWFM Event held at this caboose in 2009 "WWFM V - Revenge of the Caboose" (Will the secret of cache "CN 78175" be revealed?

Geocache Description:

Cache is located in Thunder Bay Marina Park

The cache is located in Thunder Bay Marina Park by the old Train Station.

Stealth will be required to find this cache, especially in the summer. This cache could be a nasty one to find.

Please return the cache to the exact location you found it, to make it a equal challenge for the next cacher to find.

This cache was placed as part of the "spring Cache Challenge 2008" event.

CONGRATULATIONS TO "ChrisDom" FOR THE F-T-F ON THIS CACHE. FINALLY AFTER 52 DAYS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC, THE CACHE WAS FOUND. I HAVE ADDED A NEW HINT.

The cache container is no longer on the caboose - the caboose was moved to the other end of Marina Park over 2 years ago for the park construction. The cache was disabled for the past 2 years while the Marina Park construction was underway.

History during Construction:

1. October 26, 2009 - Cache disabled - caboose has been moved to a new location on the other side of Marina Park

2. January 16, 2010 - cache container replaced - took coordinates of the new location for the caboose (N48° 25.906, W089° 13.226

3. December 19, 2011 - Construction complete - Marina Park Open - cache enabled

4. December 21, 2011 - Cache disabled - issue with being too close to other caches with the new location of the caboose

5. January 15, 2012 - With the help of Hunter-Killer (THANKS) we have a new location for the cache container - it is in the same general location as the original cache location - new coordinates have been posted - moved 61 meters - new hints will be posted - stealth still required to find the cache.

6. March 18, 2012 - Thanks to Hunter-Killer we have a new spot for the CN 78175 cache now called "In Memory of CN 78175. Coordinates and hint have been updated - stealth will still be required to find the cache especially in the summer. Also thank-you to CacheShadow for the help on getting this cache back into action

7. June 18, 2012 - SINCE THIS IS A "MICRO" CACHE AND TO CONSERVE PAPER, PLEASE ONLY USE YOUR INITIALS ON THE SMALL LOGSHEET AND IT WILL LAST A VERY LONG TIME.
