Big wheels started as a trading post in 1939 and got its name from the massive wheels once used to haul lumber from the forest (see pics). Before separate fires burned this establishment to the ground, this was a favorite place among locals to eat and meet. The latest being in may 2005. Plans are under way to once again to rebuild this beautiful little place. Nice place to pull over and stretch your legs and grab a cache. Snow shouldn't be a problem if you can get into the parking lot. A thanks to rickfunk for helping with the name on this one.
