Geocache Description:

The Soundview/Nordland Cemetery is located on land set aside by Peter Nordby in 1895. Additional land was donated to the cemetery in 1902 by Anna Nordby.

The cemetery is located on east of the Nordland townsite on a high bluff overlooking Admiralty Inlet. From the main road there was an narrow wagon road the crossed the ridge. In 1926 the funneral procession for Esther Johnson Knudsen was on the wagon road when it became stuck in mud a half mile from the cemetery. The coffin had to be carried to the cemetery for the burial when the wagons could not get out of the mud.

The posted coordinates will put you at the cemtery gate. In order to find this cache you need to find the headstone for Ester Johnson Knudsen. Once you find her you will find a micro cache hidden six paces away. In that micro cache will be coordinates and a clue for the final cache.
