A new hide has been made for this cache. The "OFFICIAL" cache is a small black container with a green geocaching sticker on the outside. If the "UNOFFICIAL" cache is found, it would be appreciated if the items were moved over.
The Licuala State Forest Park can be found about 9 kilometres along the Mission Beach - Tully road. Mozzie repellent may be useful in this area. Cassowaries are also common in this park, therefore remember to be CASS-O-WARY.
The Licuala State Forest is home to almost half of Australia's fan palm forests. The Rainforest Circuit is a short and easy way to view these palms. Cassowary information is also available along the way. The kids can also enjoy the trip as they travel along the 400 metre children's circuit located near the picnic area.
