About a mile and a half from Hwy. 56, South Lake Road runs over the Scottsburg reservoir. Park on the south end of the bridge.
South Lake Road runs over the reservoir cutting about a quarter of it to the west. An older fellow told me how he convinced his grandson the hot water came from the small end of the lake, and the cold from the larger east side.
I have two geocaches for you, one on the cold and the other on the hot side. Test the water to see if grandpa was right!
This is a muggle rich area. The evidence is littered all around. So your cover is to do some CITO! The "cold side" cache is further from the parking area (about 1/10th of a mile) and easier to avoid muggles. But stay along the lake and do not go into the mowed area of the airport in respect of the owner.
