CUS67 Tree-O Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Chuck Walla: Hello The Rascals,

Geocaching HQ uses a calculation called Health Score which rates caches to identify those that might need attention from the cache owner. Emails are sent by Geocaching HQ to the cache owners of low scoring caches to encourage them to check on their caches. To learn more about the Health Score and what can affect your cache's Health Score, I recommend that you read this Help Center article (link).

Based upon its Health Score, this cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as one that may need attention. You should have received an email about this some time ago.

I see no evidence that you have done anything in response to this email. Therefore, I am temporarily disabling this cache until you, the owner, can check on its status. After checking the cache and doing any necessary maintenance, you can click on the “enable listing” button on the top of the cache page to reactivate it. You do not have to contact me to do it for you. Also, please post an Owner Maintenance log after you have checked on your cache.

NOTE: If your cache is actually there, you might consider raising the Difficulty rating on it, as it may be much harder to find than the Difficulty rating shown on your cache page.

Please be aware that if you do not take action to address the issue with your cache within 30 days of the date of this log, or at least post a note to your cache page that you intend to do so, it will be archived at the direction of Geocaching HQ.

Sincerely,

Chuck Walla

Geocache Description:

Tree-O

I ask that you to write a log telling a little about your adventure while hunting this cache. Writing a good log is the only payment for any geocacher. As owner of this cache I can delete the log for any reason and a poor log is one of them. Thanks

There were many stories told here. Where the cache is located there was once a wooden bench. See if you can tell where it was on the trees. This is the site of an old American Legion Hutt. I have been looking for some old pictures of it to place here but have not found a very good one. It was torn down several years ago which was a sad day.
The cache is a pill container with a log inside. You will probably need your own pencil. I may update this one as a multi cache in the future just to make it a bit more fun. Please check out the other caches in the area.

Caching US 67 across Arkansas “Another Mother Road” (visit link)
I met a couple of guys during the summer of 2008 that were traveling US Highway 67 writing a book about the road and putting up pictures on their web site (visit link) . I was thinking the other day that I had several caches along this route or within a block of this highway. Why not make this a series of caches across Arkansas and beyond. Here is Caching U S 67. CUS67.

(visit link)
U.S. Route 67 is a 1,560 mile (2,511 km) long north-south U.S. highway in the Midwestern United States. The southern terminus of the route is at the United States-Mexico border in Presidio, Texas, where it continues south as Mexican Federal Highway 16 upon crossing the Rio Grande. The northern terminus is at U.S. Route 52 in Sabula, Iowa.
US 67 crosses the Mississippi River twice along its routing. The first crossing is at West Alton, Missouri, where US 67 utilizes the Clark Bridge to reach Alton, Illinois. 240 miles to the north, US 67 crosses the river again at the Rock Island Centennial Bridge between Rock Island, Illinois, and Davenport, Iowa. Additionally, the route crosses the Missouri River via the Lewis Bridge a few miles southwest of the Clark Bridge.
