Geocache Description:


One of the prettiest spots in Colquitt County, the Doerun Pitcherplant Bog has both flora and fauna in abundance! Accessable by car, though not recommended in very wet weather. Read the literature at the trail head and spend some time enjoying the beauty of this piney, wire-grass forest. This is what brought settlers to the pine barrens of Southwest Georgia in the 1800's. Please CITO, esp. around the parking area, where there is no trash can.
The cache is an ammo can fully loaded with goodies for everyone in the family...Mom, Dad, and kids!
