Geocache Description:

A walk up Butser Hill. Steep Hill from Car Park 1 not suitable for buggys or bikes. Can be muddy in Winter. The walk from Car Park 2 is a very short walk to the cache. Straight forward easy to find cache.

Butser Hill (according to Wikipedia) is the highest summit on the South Downs Way and the highest point in Hampshire.

NOTE: This cache has become very damp over the last very wet months and we are unable to maintain it as our car if off the road. I do apologise! I will get to it as soon as our car is fixed.

Driving up the A3, passing this hill time and time again it has always called to me. Covered in snow (rarely) in the Winter this hill is spectacular! We finally made our virgin walk on new Years Eve 2007 and set the cache the very next day: New Years Day 2008.

This is our first hide and is a straight forward find. Please make sure that it is well concealed when you leave. Don't want anyone to mistake it for rubbish.

You can access the cache from 1 of 2 car parks (both costing £1 to park all day) The first Car Park is for Queen Elizabeth Country Park. The second one is nearer the summit for a shorter walk.

BEWARE: MANY MUGGLES!!! This is a popular spot for walkers, so stealth is required. Gloves also a good idea!

It is a small (0.5l container) cache Starting off with numerous small swaps and 3 TBs that we've had for a while. It is wrapped in a plastic bag to keep the rain off, please replace it as you find it. Also be sure to check the find logs below as i will post notes and updates if the cache gets moved, lost or disabled.

I hope you enjoy the spectacular views from the top.
