Geocache Description:

Near State Park Headquarters

This cache is hidden where the North platte River enters Glendo Reservoir. It is on public land and is a small round, camouflaged container. The terrain is rocky and steep with loose rock and slippery pine needles. Be careful! Don't step too far or you will take a fall. The area is full of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for deer, geese and antelope, among other things. A camera would be a good thing to bring along, both for the wildlife and for the view. The scenery is breathtaking. There are several nice campsites in the area, with public potties (the hole kind). The walleye fishing at this reservoir is supposed to be spectacular, although they were not hitting this weekend. My family and I camp here often and we also go geocaching at nearby reservoirs where there are some awesome hides! Be sure to look for caches by Mudblood Squad -- they are some of my favorites!
