Geocache Description:

A visit to one of Bodmin Moor`s minor tors.

This involves a shortish walk over open moorland which can be rather damp underfoot after wet weather. The route to the tor crosses public access common land. Due south from the parking spot is an Army rifle range, the danger area is marked by a series of red & white poles. There is no need to pass through this area to reach the cache from the listed parking coordinates (& it`s only closed when a red flag is flying on the hill to the south).
The cache is situated on the north west side of the tor, to the south east are signs of a Bronze Age settlement which would have consisted of several roundhouses & some small enclosed fields. Between the tor & the car park is the site of an early china-clay working. This is an interesting area only let down by the close proximity of the busy A30 road.
The container is a one litre, green painted box. Please don`t fill it too full with swaps, I`d like to save some space for Travel Bugs!
