El Tour de Tucson is one of the country's premier
perimeter bicycling events and is a major charity fundraiser, with
over $25 million raised since the first El Tour was held in
1983.
During the 48th mile, the route continues west along Rockcliff
Road (after passing through part of Canyon Ranch), then heads north
along Tourmaline Drive, Bauxite Way, Cheyenne Trail and Amethyst
Lane, finally returning to Snyder Road, where the route continues
westward.
