Foot trail along coast offer great view. Plenty of rocks of all sizes. Quite possibly the most you have seen in one area. Shoes is a good idea on this hike.
Aloha once again,
Follow Farrington Avenue west till it turns into a dirt road. Continue on and take the first right after the gully. You are now headed north. The dirt road is in pretty good shape, as long as it hasn't been raining, two wheel drive cars will not have any problem. When you come to the sign that is in the shape of Molokai, take a right. The road from this point is kind of rough, but if you are used to driving on drt roads, you should be okay. There are a couple of rocky sections that you need to be careful of. If in doubt, park off the road and walk. Take the next right. Unless you are in a 4 wheel drive, you'd want to park on the near side of the rivine. From here, the cache is about 3/4 mile to the east. There is a well marked foot trail at the end of the dirt road. The trail is a fishing trail, it takes you along the coast. You will pass a number of old hawaiian ruins, most of them temperary dwelling, but there are a couple of heiau's (Temples or sacraficial alters). You will come across a section of shore that collects ocean debri. An interesting place to spend a few minutes exploring.
