Geocache Description:


The Freedom Square of Tallinn is in the city-center, near the Old Town. The square itself is mostly occupied by cars (parking) but near the Freedom square you can see lots of interesting. For example, the Freedeom Clock at the beginning of Kaarli Puiestee. The clock shows the exact time and the number of years that have passed from the beginning of the Republic of Estonia. Also, by the square there is Harjumägi: there you can get a nice view over Tallinn (see the photo). A monument (to honour the independence of Estonia) will be put up on Harjumägi in couple of years. It will be a gigantic glass column with a cross on top. From the Freedom square you can also enter the Old Town. On the square you can see Kaarli church, which is open to visitors – go and see it. At the other end of the square there is the Tallinn English College, one of the finest schools in Estonia (with Tallinn French School).
By the square you can also see the Tallinn city government house, it’s the house made of red bricks. Next to it is the Russian Theatre. From the Freedom clock you can see Kaarli church.

TTC caches lead you to nice and interesting places in Tallinn. This one is on Harjumägi, I suggest you to bring your photo-camera with you, you can get good photos from there. But as the cache was trashed in march 2008, I changed its location. Enjoy!
