Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A small cache located near the logging road that is now blocked,
you can get there by trail or by logging road. About 1.3 miles each
way, and 1000 Ft. elevation gain. Parking coordinates are: N48
46.000 W122 20.630, there is a trail head here.
This is a race but you may give up coming in first. If you are an
avid mountaineer this is a good timed challenge. To start the race
I will say try to get from the parking lot to the cache in under an
hour, please time yourself and record it in the log. When placing
the cache it took me about an hour(with a couple needed breaks)and
I expect that some cachers will blow my time out of the water. You
can take the trail before the red barn, or take the logging road
which is longer. The trail is the race, and most the first half is
well marked with ribbons. you will cross the road once at about a
mile, head up the road and "trail #3" will be on your right
quickly. The cache is in a race car tin, capable of holding small
items and a log book, there are some goodies inside already. Please
make sure the lid is on the right direction and tightly sealed.
Make sure not to miss the amazing views from the top. On a clear
day you can see Lake Whatcom all the way to the islands and Canada,
continue up over the ridge for a killer Mt. Baker view. Bring a
camera, and if you plan on a sunset don't forget your flashlight!
