Geocache Description:

Another escapee from the Untouchables event. This one is dedicated to all who have spent time on "The Rock"

Robert Stroud was famous for being the Birdman of Alcatraz. Strangely he did not have birds when on the Rock but earlier when locked up in Leavenworth, Kansas. Originally imprisoned for murder he was eventually sentenced to death for murdering a prison guard. The sentence was reduced to life in prison by President Wilson. Stroud gained fame by raising Canaries for sale and writing books on their diseases. He died in a prison hospital in 1963 at 73 after serving 54 years in prison.

The cache is a film cannister hidden right where you expect it to be.
