This is a regular sized cache container placed in the Beaver Meadow Cemetery in Haddam. Haddam was incorporated in October 1668 and in these cemeteries, you will find veterans of the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, and WWII. There were 28 men and their families from Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windsor who were the original first settlers in Haddam.
Again, another cache in a cemetery in Haddam that has many veterans and interesting gravestones. I placed these caches with a friend of mine that gave me the skinny on these interesting graveyards and she was adamant that no one should attempt this cache at night! There is a uniformed soldier of some sort that "guards" this cemetery. A couple of kids a few years ago went to this graveyard after dark to hang out and each of their flashlights went dead after only ten minutes of their visit. Coincidence? Maybe...but why test it...
I placed this cache after placing the Turkey Hill cache and still had some strange things happening with my GPS. (Also felt the hair on my neck go up after walking into the entrance.) I apologize again if my coordinates are way off and I will gladly accept updated coords from anyone due to that. The hint is a dead giveaway and you should use it only if you need it.
This cache is best found when being quiet and respectful of the area. Please remember that this cache is found for fun but nothing else in this cemetery should be disturbed. Have fun and be safe.
