Cache is a small tablock container. It is situated somewhere on the SOUTH side of May Street, Belfast. Please use stealth. This cache has been muggled several times and is in a busy area in daytime.
The cache is placed near the city centre of Belfast, about 200 metres from Belfast City Hall. It should be fairly easy for passing tourist to find on their way to or from Northern Ireland. The car park beside the cache is the site of the George VI Memorial Hall, which like many George VI memorials had a short life. Nearby landmarks for the visitor to Belfast to visit include the City Hall, Cooke Memorial Church, and St. Malachy's Chapel. The Chapel has recently undergone a major refurbishment and is well worth a visit, The "Big Wheel" which graced/disfigured the City Hall grounds has now thankfully been removed. Many other interesting sites of old and new Belfast can be found via Google or your favorite search engine. Much of the "newbuild" in the immediate area is on bombsites from the WW2 blitz on 15-apr-1941 (see wikipedia and others) Note to wheelchair users - I have not marked this cache as wheelchair friendly. You can reach the location IMHO by wheelchair, but it will be necessary to stand up to retrieve the cache. I hope this information is of help. At the time I placed this cache there were no caches within 2 miles of the city centre, now a visiting cacher can pick up several caches during a stroll around my town. Thanks to all who have now placed them. Some are quite hard to find!
