Geocache Description:

This cache is located in San Juan County Utah on off Highway 163 between Bluff and Montezuma Creek on County Road 267 on a dirt road. Elevation is 4548.

This geocache has been filled with many goodies for everyone inside.

Turn off Highway 163 to County Road 267 at n 37 18.048 / W 109 26.341 and go south towards the formation and San Juan River. This road is a little rough but a car can handle it just find. I parked .98 from Highway 163, but there is a road that can take you closer if you have a truck. From where I parked the car about .18 away from the cache. There is a good turnaround area there for vehicles. You can see the river snake around the bookcliffs and other nearby states. Some may want to climb to the top of the formation and see the views or you may want to drive down to the San Juan River. There are also some ruins in the upper part of this formation too. Great Scenic Views!!

If you have small children, watch them very closely. It is a steep climb in areas with small rocks which makes footing difficult in areas.

FYI: There are some new geocaching games online. The "An Alphabet Soup Challenge (GC15Y83) by AD0OR, Southern Utah Alphabet Soup Challenge, Four Corners Alphabet Challenge, Utah DeLorme Challenge (this cache is on page 23), Cach-U-Nuts Games, Utah State Parks, CAU Caches (Cache Across Utah), and on the UTAG Website are many more. The caches for the Alphabet Soup Challenge can be completed in San Juan County. Good luck to those who would like to participate in the Alphabet Soup Challenge.
