Geocache Description:

Guinea Pigs Unleashed!

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES! These will lead you to a spot that I like to visit when geocaching in Buffalo.

This cache is a celebration of friendship and the pets we love...in this case, guinea pigs. You will be looking for a regular-sized lock-n-lock container, an experimental design that I put together recently. To determine where the cache actually is, you will need to complete the crossword puzzle below.



After completing the puzzle, you will need to locate the appropriate letter in the puzzle, convert it to a number (A=1, B=2, etc.), and plug the numbers into the following formula:

N42 PI.GZR W078 SO.FUN

P=(12 across, 3rd letter)
I=(15 across, 10th letter)
G=(2 down, 3rd letter)
Z=(1 down, 4th letter, then subtract 1)
R=(8 down, 2nd letter)
S=(9 across, 4th letter, then add 1)
O=(7 across, 6th letter)
F=(8 down, 2nd letter, then add 1)
U=(6 across, 1st letter)
N=(12 across, 3rd letter, then subtract 4)

Got it? Great! Approach from above or below, your choice, although it may be easiest to approach from the nearby subway parking along Main St. The terrain is a solid 2 for the majority of your walk, but jumps to a 3 for the last 30 to 40 feet.

PLEASE, NO night caching on this one! The terrain is iffy in spots, and I would hate to see anybody hurt.
