The higher we climbed up the Grass Pass / Bull Creek Hills
Trail, the more we liked it – lots of great views, for the most
part across open grassland. While not in the heart of the “big”
Rocky Mountains, lots of craggy peaks can be seen to the north,
south and west. In fact, this trek easily qualifies as “Fav. Hike
#7”. But seeing as there are already 8 possible smileys on this
hike, we figured we’d save the “Fav. Hike #7” label for another
trail.
However, on our way back down from Bull Creek Viewpoint, we
spotted a terrific hiding spot and couldn’t resist placing just one
more cache container along this cache-rich trek. Due to the
physical constraints of the hiding spot, it’s a micro, so no FTF
prize, no finder’s cards, no swag and no pencil! We hope you enjoy
the views from this location as much as we did.
This cache is meant to complement Sleepy_hollow's
GCYQXF The Stopping Point on the Bull Creek Hills Trail and
GCYQXT Bull Creek Hills Trail Viewpoint. Total return distance
to the viewpoint is approximately 12 km, with total elevation gain
of about 700 meters. Proper hiking boots are highly
recommended.
