Geocache Description:

Who would think such a short walk can take you so far away?

From this spot you can literally sea it all. Unfortunately some of us can’t remember it all. There is a slight problem with the “year” part of when this cache was hidden. This was originally hidden in August of 2006 but for some odd reason I forgot to post it. And by the time I remembered (and thankfully I man aged to remember) I couldn’t remember when I hid it or where I hid it as I couldn’t find my GPS file.

So today at lunch, I needed a break from work and was hoping to see the shuttle Endeavour zooming overhead (too cloudy) so I scooted down here to see if I could at least remember what I hid and sort of where I hid it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cache was exactly where I hid it a year ago, the log was dry and it was perfectly fine. Ahhhh, love it when a plan comes together. Just had to give this one time to age to perfection (oops, that’s a different cache).

This is a neat little spot and can be accessed by the water, by strolling over from the Ski-A-Rees free water ski show area, or by parking near Mote or the Pelican Man and walking around the water by the Sarasota Outboard Club. Lots of paths lead here. And this is a well hidden micro so be sure to bring your own pen. And it’s lasted a year without even being listed so please hide as well as you found it to keep it fun for many years to come.

Enjoy,
iMPG
