Geocache Description:

Saints have given their names to many places in Christchurch. To find this cache you will go on a journey, slightly less than 10km, seeking out a few of them.

You can do the WPs in any order. Answer the questions and calculate where the cache is hidden. The answers at most WP’s can be obtained at the roadside making for a quick drive-by.

WP 1. It is 21 years this week in August 2007 since this Church was moved from the corner of Oxford Terrace and Antigua Street near Christchurch Hospital to its present site. The church is now used as a chapel by Rangi Ruru School and as a parish church for the local community.
A. The church is named St ??? How many letters are in the saints name? (hint include the ‘s’)
B. The circular stained glass window high above the main entrance has how many glass panels radiating from the central hub?

WP 2. The church close to this location would be a good place to research your family history.
C. From this WP how many bridges can you see which provide access to the church?
D. The large plaque on the opposite river bank has how many words? (hint hyphen = space)

WP 3. This Historic Place is the site of the former St Marys Convent Chapel. It is open for the public to view inside Sundays 2 – 4pm Oct - Apr. Find the plaque beside the main door. (Note if the main gate is shut the hint for WP 3 may help)
E. What is the last digit of the year the former convent chapel was built?
F. The chapel was reopened by the Mayor of Christchurch what day in October 2000?
G. How many words are in the Chapel's new name? ( hint do not include 'The')

WP 4. This church is for one of the lesser known denominations.
H. The church name includes the names of two saints. How many letters in the longer name?
I. How many crosses are embedded in the iron fence in front of the church?

WP 5. On Sunday you might hear church bells ringing near this site.
J. How many blue letters are in the Church sign on the Street frontage?
K. What number is on the letter box at the entrance? Add the digits together.

WP 6. This Centre responds to emergencies. Until recently a St Johns Ambulance was stationed here along with a fire engine.
L. How many panes of glass are in each of the garage doors?
M. How many flag poles are attached to the front of the building?

The cache is a 800ml snaplock camo container. When hidden the contents included logbook, stash note, pencil, pencil sharpener and a few swops.
