Lonely Road, or HHH 2 Traditional Cache
SpeedyMomzales: sigh Yes, it’s gone. The area around the cache location is now being mowed more extensively, so much of the camouflage is gone. Time to archive this cache. It was my first placement, but we had a good run.

Along a road, no fence-climbing required
This is a sleepy stretch of road, but for one weekend each year this particular area becomes a scene of great activity. For a few hours on a Saturday in August, there will be as many as 5000 people and almost as many bikes gathering here.
The Hotter ‘n Hell Hundred bike ride and race is a Wichita Falls tradition, bringing thousands of enthusiastic riders to the town, and calling out hundreds of volunteers to provide support.
The cache is a small camo'd container located at the area of Rest Stop #2. This current container is the fourth that has been placed here, with luck this one will stand up to the Texas heat and sun as well as thieves.
During the HHH, the difficulty jumps to “5;” otherwise, this is an easy one. Just give a thought to all those riders who choose to pedal their way over the hills as you approach the cache from the east. During August in Texas, no less!
