Geocache Description:


This geocache of eleven years needs your help!

If you visit Mae Hong Son and the location of the geocache is accessible then please be so kind to do the following:

  • Contact the owners of the place (Holland huis coffee)
  • Explain that the geocache box needs to be placed such that is it is always accessible.
  • Find a good spot at the location together with the owners. There are multiple good spots that are never closed off.
  • Contact us (teamlacor) and describe the new location of the geocache box

This cache can be found in the charming town Mae Hong Son. In the past, Mae Hong Son was a very isolated town used as a place to train elephants. The town is also known as the City of Three Mists, as no matter whether it is winter or the rainy season, the city will be veiled in mist on account of the many surrounding mountains.

The cache is situated just outside the city centre and can often be reached from early in the morning till late afternoon. Location may be closed on weekends.

This cache will be maintained by Peter van Gurp who is from the Netherlands but lives and works in Thailand. Peter will check on this cache regularly. Also mr. Mink who is a local will assist with the cache when needed.
