This cache is as close to a "drive-up" as you can get in the desert. There are several different roads leading to the cache, some are pretty good, some are not. Sand could be an issue, if you're not careful. The big power line nearby may cause problems, too. Bring your own scribble stick, and after you find the cache, please put it back exactly as you found it.
This location is a great example of the paradox that makes up the city of Fernley. New roads, businesses and housing developments are visible from the cache, but this site is a throwback to when Fernley was just a small farming community. Several areas like this one still exist near town, but it's just a matter of time before progress & growth swallow them all up. It will be interesting to see how long that will take. In the meantime, enjoy this rustic example of "the old Fernley".
