Alabama 67-County Challenge Mystery Cache

The cache is not at the listed coordinates! To obtain the actual coordinates, you must first find a cache in every county in Alabama. As of August 4, 2007, every county in the state has at least one cache. All cache finds used for the challenge must be on actual caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have visited in person- no temporary caches, locationless, event caches, or armchair finds will count. In the case of multi or puzzle caches that take you through more than one county, the listed coordinates provided on the cache page will be used to determine in which county the cache resides. If you going to be in the Birmingham area, feel free to contact Caver for the coordinates and you can sign the final logbook as long as you don't log it until you have the documentation verification you need to post with your log.

The actual cache container/logbook is hidden somewhere in the Trussville area. After completing the challenge, you can feel free to log it if you can add a geochecker map using something like GSAK or Project GC. or My Geocaching Profile http://www.mygeocachingprofile.com/. Alternatively, you could post a list of caches in your log. As a last resort, you can email CaverScott a list of caches by county, or a GPX file of Alabama finds to verify that the challenge requirements have been met. A final option would be to send a link to a bookmark list of county finds, listing the applicable county name in the description field for each cache to aid in verification. If this is a problem, contact me and we can work out another verification method. After verifying your finds, I will then send you the coordinates and instructions to the final, which is on private property (mine). All logs that have not been verified by me will be deleted. Only those who have truly found a cache in every county will be allowed to log this cache, no group finds allowed. All decisions of the cache owner are final.

Cache finds before and after the date of the creation of the challenge may be used. While you're at it, this cache provides a great opportunity to work toward completing the Alabama DeLorme Challenge as well.
