This Cache is located along one of our favorite hiking and snowshoeing segments of the Ice Age Trail located in Devil's Lake State Park. We gave it a 3T for the distance and have moved it a bit farther off trail. It is a little less than a mile hike each way from parking at N43* 25.476, W089* 41.152 just off a well maintained trail. For a longer hike, you may park at N43*25.215, W089*39.639 and it will be about a 1 1/2 mile hike each way.
Enjoy this hike away from the hustle and bustle of the main trails at Devil's Lake. It is so enjoyable at any time of year, and is part of the 1000+ mile National Ice Age Trail, which when finished will follow the farthest reaches of Wisconsin's last Ice Age from Door County on Lake Michigan to Interstate State Park along the St. Croix River between Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Note that a valid Wisconsin State Park sticker is required for either parking location.
