Geocache Description:

Hi. Welcome to our first cache which is hidden in our garden wall.

The house with the big bay window was build just after the 2nd World War. The original house here was bombed during the Plymouth Blitz, March/April 1941, and sadly three people were killed. At the time, Pomphlett School site was an ammunition dump and that was probably the target.

If you are interested, there is a memorial at the top of Burrow Hill with the names of everyone who was killed in the Blitz. The family from this house were called Speare.

If there are any blackberry’s growing on our wall, help yourself but leave some for our kids.
